About Fatma

Fatma Bouabdallah received the M.S. degree in network and computer science from the University of Paris VI, France, in 2006 and the PhD degree in computer science from the Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique, Rennes, in  2008. In 2010, she was with the University of Waterloo, Canada, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. She was an associate Professor in King AbdulAziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia till 2024. She is currently a Lecturer in Computer Science, School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics at the University of Plymouth, United Kingdom. In 2022, she received her HDR (Habilitation A DIRIGER Des Recherches) degree from University of Paris-Est, France. In 2023, she obtained her Professorship Qualification from the French ministry of education. Her research interests include, Satellite-Air-Ground-Sea Integrated Networks, IoT design, LPWAN IoT technologies: LoRa, SigFox, RPMA, Machine Learning: Reinforcement Learning wireless sensor networks, under-water acoustic sensor networks, crosslayer design, modeling and performance evaluation of computer networks.
