About Elizabeth
I’m a PhD researcher working on; T01A12 – A modelled multi-species seabird windfarm mitigation strategy. The project is focusing on seabirds' response to various environmental variables and how different windfarm configurations might influence seabird avoidance behavioural responses.
I studied for a BSc in Ecology and Conservation, and an MSc in Conservation Biology at Manchester Metropolitan University. After University I volunteered with the RSPB as a warden on a little tern colony and with a Federal University of Amazonas as a field researcher.
For the last six years I worked for Natural England, most recently within the offshore wind sector. I was responsible for pre and post consented windfarms, writing and coordinating Natural England’s advice to the developer as well as inputting into ornithology management plans or reviewing ornithology baseline data.
