I am currently responsible for leading, managing and developing the Counselling Team which is part of Student Wellbeing Services.

I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and qualified supervisor with over 20 years experience in the sector. 

I have previously enjoyed tutoring on Counselling Diploma training courses.

Diploma in Casework Supervision

Diploma in Professional Studies in Counselling

Advanced Diploma in Management of Eating Disorders and Obesity

Certified Cyber Therapist

Professional membership

I am an accredited, registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

Member of BACP Universities and College (BACP UC) division.  

Roles on external bodies

I was a member of the BACP Universities & Colleges Division, Executive committee for several years

During that time I was also an Expert Reference group member during the development of BACP's Competencies Framework for those working in HE and FE.

I am currently a member of HUC (Head of University Counselling Services)

Additional information

I have a passion for equine assisted therapy and am an EAGALA certified practitioner. I was a Director of a community interest company delivering Equine Assisted Growth & Learning and Therapy for over 7 years. This is an area I wish to return to in future years.
