Qualifications

Alina Beltechi is Lecturer in Pharmacology at Peninsula School of Medicine. She is a qualified medical doctor, with a PhD in Pharmacology and trained in medical imagining and clinical pharmacology before turning to scientific research in pharmacology. Alina spent nine years in Oxford as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, studying neurotransmitter release and cholinergic receptors. Since graduation, she has taught various aspects of pharmacology to medical students and pharmacists at Reading, Oxford and abroad. Alina is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
