It has 134 rooms, with 53 en suite rooms available to book through the University of Plymouth. Frobisher House is an ideal hall for students who want to be close to local shops, cafes and bars while still being part of our thriving student community.

Small, Standard and Large en suite rooms are available to book in Frobisher House through the University of Plymouth. Please note: these rooms are only available for a 41-week licence.
Room type – Small en suite (4):
  • Cost: £151 per week. Total annual rent: £5,781 (for a 41-week licence).
  • Floor size: approximately 8.8m².
  • Bed size:  ¾ double bed with under-bed storage.
  • Facilities: wardrobe, desk, desk chair, notice board, mirror, shelving, en suite bathroom with shower.
  • Number of flatmates: between 4–11 students per flat.

  • Cost: £160 per week. Total annual rent: £6,150 (for a 41-week licence).
  • Floor size: approximately 10.3m².
  • Bed size: ¾ double bed with under-bed storage.

  • Number of flatmates: between 4–11 students per flat.
Room type – Large en suite (1):
  • Cost: £165 per week. Total annual rent: £6,355 (for a 41-week licence).
  • Floor size: approximately 14.5m².
  • Bed size: ¾ double bed with under-bed storage.
  • Facilities: wardrobe, desk, desk chair, notice board, mirror, shelving, en suite bathroom with shower.
  • Number of flatmates: between 4–11 students per flat.

Frobisher House is located on Ebrington Street – a lively road with shops, cafés and bars. It’s close to the University of Plymouth Business School and only a short walk away from campus and the city centre. It also benefits from having a small supermarket directly below it.

Residence life: optimising your student experience 

Moving away from home can be daunting, which is why everyone living in University-managed accommodation is welcome to join our Residence Life community. It’s a programme of events, activities and giveaways designed to help you meet new people, make new friends and try new things.

Flatmates at a Residence Life welcome event
Rooms in off-campus halls of residence are accredited under Accreditation Network UK (ANUK). These halls of residence are part of the 'good practice' network, providing reassurance that the accommodation is safe, well managed and supportive of residents. ANUK accreditation is assessed by an independent verifier and compliance is periodically tested.
