Participants in the National Civic Impact Accelerator project using flash cards

About the project

The University has been supported by the National Civic Impact Accelerator (NCIA) 2024–2026 to transform how it connects with our local community. The NCIA is a pioneering initiative driving societal, economic, and environmental advancements in local places. It aims to generate and mobilise intelligence of what works, for whom and in what contexts; catalyse and share civic innovations; and provide universities with the framework and tools to deliver meaningful, measurable civic strategies and activities.
The project, which led to the development of the University Navigator, has two years of work and was supported by a project team made up of University of Plymouth staff and local community organisations.
