The public engagement team will launch a training programme for researchers and professional service staff on topics such as evaluation for engagement, high quality public engagement with research, developing public engagement plans within research proposals and more.
Our first training calendar will be published in 2022/23. In addition to the training programme, the team can provide bespoke training to teams and faculties upon request.
The public engagement team have produced a short guide for further information. See our guidance on developing public engagement within research proposals.
The public engagement team collaborate with researchers, community partners, Higher Education Institutions, local government, social enterprises, and charities to deliver public engagement events.
We partnered with the University of Bristol, the University of Bath, and the University of Exeter to deliver the FUTURES2021 festival of discovery – a European Commission funded weekend of Public Engagement events as part of European Researcher’s Night.
FUTURES2021 events took place online and in person around the city, including at the Bread & Roses social enterprise pub, the National Marine Aquarium, and the Market Hall in Devonport.
More information on events will be shared here as our programme develops.
Please contact the team at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like any further information on our training and events.
