Autumn leaves

Learning objectives

To decorate a picture with leaves and/or petals.

Resources needed

  • Paper
  • Colour pencils, paints, or markers
  • Glue
  • Leaves or flower petals

Instructions

  • Collect leaves and petals (ones that have already fallen so you do not harm the trees or flowers).
  • Draw a picture, such as of an animal or members of your family.
  • When you are happy with the drawing, glue the leaves and petals to it. Be creative: make hair, clothing, fur, scales and anything else you think might work.
  • You can write a description next to your creation and your name as the artist.

Ways to include all learners

  • You can use printed photographs instead of drawing pictures.
