30 credits (Leadership pathway option at Diploma stage)
Building on concepts introduced into the Leadership and Innovation in Practice module, this module provides an in-depth study of further aspects of management, leadership and innovation in healthcare, relevant to professionals seeking to deepen their practice of leading services and organisations into the future. Taking themes such as human resource management, problem-solving, business planning and reflective practice, the module blends academic teaching with input from senior leaders within the local and national environment. This module is run face to face by Dr Ian Higginson (clinical lead), Susanne Smith (module lead) and Louise Hardy, programme lead of the MSc Healthcare Management and Leadership. It will be supplemented by some key Global Health Leaders seminars preparing you to become a global leader of the future.
This module is normally delivered face to face in two three day blocks in the spring term.
