MSc Contemporary Healthcare (Community Nursing)

The MClinRes Clinical Research aims to provide clinicians with the skills to develop, undertake, manage, disseminate and implement research findings. It is intended to be the first step to developing you as a clinical academic leader within the NHS.

The programme’s objectives align with the Health Education England and NIHR objectives to develop clinical academics in the NHS and increase research capacity in nurses, midwives, allied healthcare professionals and healthcare scientists. In particular we will be supporting you to publish and disseminate your research findings and develop you as a researcher beyond the programme by targeting the NIHR internship and fellowship schemes. These schemes provide further research experience that can lead to a fully funded PhD and a clinical academic career.

The skills you will acquire in the MClinRes will also be relevant if you are seeking lecturing posts within higher education institutes.
