Teaching Development Framework (TDF) guidance and documentation

In order to gain recognition, you'll need to reflect critically on contrasting examples of your teaching-related practices, explore how you engage with and build on the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF), and 'build a case' of your 'success and effectiveness' for the appropriate category of fellowship. You're also required to have an aspect of your teaching/learning support activities reviewed by a colleague from within the institution. This process is intended to enhance teaching practices, promote self-reflection, and provide additional opportunities to share good practices.

To be successful, you'll need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of your subject, and appropriate methods for teaching and learning, as well as an understanding of how students learn. You also need to provide evidence that you have reflected on your practices in relation to relevant pedagogic literature. The scheme focuses particularly on the Areas of Activity, Core Knowledge and Professional Values of the UK Professional Standards Framework.
