How you can support us and contribute to Plymouth's vibrant culture
There are many ways that you can support Peninsula Arts, and subsequently contemporary art in Plymouth and the South West. We are always looking for support with funding special projects and you can help.
Who we are
Peninsula Arts is the wide-ranging public arts programme of Plymouth University, catering to many and varied audiences, raising aspirations and enriching lives through high quality cultural experiences. We host the largest contemporary art gallery in Plymouth; the Jill Craigie Cinema; The House and its cutting edge performance programme; Peninsula Arts Sinfonietta and a year-long series of fascinating talks that open up the world of history and contemporary culture.
What we do
Supported by Plymouth University we are transforming the lives of people, reaching out to the widest audience possible - from young to old - raising aspirations and enriching lives through high quality cultural experiences.
We're invested in the cultural development of the city and support new initiatives, projects and arts festivals that attract new voices to the region and showcase the wealth of creative talent within Plymouth.
We have a strong arts education programme – focused on children and people who do not have ready access to higher education or cutting-edge cultural experiences. Working with schools and community groups we provide individuals with an opportunity to meet and work directly with national and international artists, academics and researchers. These special and unique experiences are often life changing – and help develop a new generation of artists, designers, entrepreneurs and thinkers.
