Book Festival: Sir Andrew Motion - The Customs House

The Customs House is the stunning new collection from former Poet Laureate, Sir Andrew Motion. 

The book is in three sections, and opens with a sequence of war poems, Laurels and Donkeys, which draws on soldiers' experiences from the First and Second World wars, through to the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Sir Andrew also reads from The Cinder Path  (Faber), shortlisted for the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry, and welcomes questions about his writing and the role of Poet Laureate. 

Location: Theatre 1, Roland Levinsky Building, Plymouth University. 

Tickets: £10, Concessions £8, Friend of Plymouth International Book Festival (PIBF) £6.00.
