Swim for free at the Life Centre every Monday and Friday evening!

St Mellion International Resort

St Mellion golf, spa and leisure resort has introduced a Corporate Discount Privilege Membership for Plymouth University staff - 15 per cent discount against golf and/or Health Club membership packages.

They offer anyone interested in a membership, a complimentary seven day Health Club experience (this offer does not apply to Off-Peak Health Club Membership and to Intermediate Golf Membership).

Plymouth Argyle FC

  • staff/student tickets to any* League Two home game: £14 (instead of £20)
  • vouchers may be purchased on campus from the UPSU shop which are redeemed for tickets at the Argyle ticket office.

*An upgrade charge of £1 is applicable to some matches (note this will be payable directly to Argyle FC when redeeming the voucher at Home Park).

Mountbatten Watersports and Activities Centre 

In the summer season staff have access to discounted sailing and wakeboarding. These sessions are on Thursday evenings and Saturdays.

  • £7.50 wakeboard
Staff also get 25% discount off Mountbatten certificated National Governing Body courses and 10% discount for other Mountbatten Courses. You will need to present your staff ID card or payslip.

The fountains and tranquil community space of historic Drake’s Place Gardens and Reservoir were restored by the University with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Big Lottery Fund. As a Friend you have the chance to make informed decisions, attend meetings, events and have fun, while preserving the beauty of Drake’s Place.

The Theatre Royal 

Plymouth University is a corporate member of the Plymouth Theatre Royal and they offer a dedicated booking line for Plymouth University staff by email to development@theatreroyal.com or telephone +44 1752 230382 Mon-Fri, 10:00-16:00. 

There is a £5 per ticket discount on most evening performances Monday to Thursday - take a look at http://www.theatreroyal.com.

Simply make it clear that you are a Plymouth University staff member by stating the details of which performance, date and time you wish to book and provide your full name, email address and contact number. 

 

You then will receive an email with confirmation of ticket availability and clarification on whether they are subject to our corporate discount (seat allocation requests will be considered but cannot be guaranteed) – and they will ask if you’d like access to the Friends and Members area (if available).

Your tickets can be collected on presentation of your Plymouth University staff card from the Theatre Royal box office any time before the performance which is open Monday - Saturday, 10.00-20.00.

The Post Office

If you go to the bureau de change (take a ticket for travel services) and present Plymouth University staff ID, you will receive a money saving preferential exchange rate on Euros and US Dollars.

Reserve a parking space

Demand for parking in Plymouth is very high, to make sure you get a space you can now reserve safe and secure parking around the University for as little as £3.60 for a day using JustPark. Plymouth University has also negotiated an exclusive 10 per cent discount on the cost of parking for students, staff and visitors. To use this discount just enter the code PLYUNI10 at the online checkout. You can only use this discount once. A map is available to see where the spaces are located.

Rent your parking space

If you have a driveway why not make some extra cash and list your parking space on the site too?
