University of Plymouth supported book clubs

Plymouth Green and Science Book Club

Plymouth Green Book Club meets several times a year to discuss, with guest experts, recently published books on significant environmental issues that affect us nationally and globally.

Previous book choices have been written by Tony Juniper, George Monbiot, Colin Tudge, Jonathon Porritt and Philip Hoare.

The guest experts include academics from the University and other local professionals with relevant knowledge, experience and expertise.

While it is helpful to have read the books, it is not essential. You are invited to bring to the discussion your own knowledge and understanding of the issues.

All forthcoming meetings will be listed on the University events calendar.

Plymouth Green and Science Book Club is supported by the University of Plymouth, the Sustainable Earth Institute and the Eden Project.

Global Book Club Plymouth

Global Book Club Plymouth is for anyone who enjoys extending their knowledge of the world through reading.

We meet several times a year to discuss a book, or set of books, that give us insight into how life is lived in other countries and other cultures.

Everyone is welcome, whether they are regular members or a one-off visitor with a particular interest in the current book.

All forthcoming meetings will be listed on the University events calendar.

Global Book Club Plymouth was set up by Devon Development Education and a parallel group meets in Exeter.
