Race and ethnicity

Our equality and diversity and anti-bullying and anti-harassment policies make it clear that discrimination or harassment on the grounds of ethnicity, including race, colour and nationality is unacceptable.

All staff are required to complete a mandatory equality and diversity-training package when they join us, to ensure that they're fully informed of the Equality Act 2010 and associated opportunities to advance equality.

Plymouth University is committed to creating an inclusive culture and environment where individuals are able to thrive, irrespective of their race or ethnicity. Plymouth University is an international University, and we want all students and staff to feel welcomed and supported.

We recognise and celebrate the differences in the diverse student and staff population at Plymouth University. We are therefore involved in a number of awareness raising events and activities.
