The Centre for Eyecare Excellence's event at 41 Gibbon Street is from 09:00-17:00 (contact for further details.) This week is also National Eye Health Week which promotes the importance of eye health and the need for regular sight tests for all.

Learning Support and Wellbeing have scrummy cakes, tea and coffee on offer from 10:30-12:30 in Crosspoint, Roland Levinsky Building (contact for information).

Residence Life's coffee morning is from 11:00-13:00 on the Ground Floor, Mary Newman Building and you're invited to join them for tea, coffee and tasty treats. If you would like to be involved in donating baked goods for fundraising please email

After this summer what would make us smile is some tea, coffee, and lovely cake and we will also support a great organisation at the same time. Let’s help Macmillan to put a smile on the faces of those they support too!!!

We hope to see you there to make it the world’s biggest coffee morning!!!

Since Macmillan's first ever coffee morning in 1990, over £200 million have been raised for the charity.

Extract from Macmillan's website:

"The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. We ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. Last year alone we raised over £27 million and together we can make this another successful year."
