Join the Wild About Plymouth team to discover some of the intriguing minibeasts that live on your doorstep.

We’ll be hunting for bugs through the grassland and discovering what types of insects help keep our world alive. Get involved and help create fantastic new homes for some of our little critters to live in.

Admission is free and there is no need to book. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather, and remember sunscreen if it’s sunny.

On-street parking is available near the entrance of Kings Tamerton Wood. Meet at the entrance at the end of Dalton Gardens, off Priestly Avenue.

Wild About Plymouth

Wild About Plymouth (WAP) is a family-friendly natural history group that is open to anyone in the Plymouth area. It is led by enthusiastic experts from Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery with support from Plymouth University and a range of other partners.
