CAMERA (Collaboration for the Advancement of Medical Education Research and Assessment invites you to this seminar by Rosamund Snow and Jools Symons, specialists in patient involvement in medical education.

Rosamund Snow worked in communications in the private, public, and charity sectors for 20 years, completing an NIHR funded PhD in 2013 as a service-user-researcher, working on an entirely patient led project to explore healthcare services from the users’ point of view. Rosamund is the BMJ’s patient editor, she works at Oxford University, developing and researching patients' involvement in medical education. She also tutors and mentors undergraduate medical students, and teaches research methods at King’s College, London. She has published on obstacles to accessing healthcare services, the role of the expert patient, clinician/patient/researcher partnerships, and best practice models in patient driven education for healthcare professionals.

Jools Symons is a Patient & Public Involvement Manager and Communication Skills Lead for Year 2 at the Leeds Institute of Medical Education (LIME). She has built up a community of over 180 active members of the Patient | Carer Community (PCC) at LIME and also formed and lead the Lived Experience Network (LEN), a national community for Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in education and healthcare in the UK.

This seminar is free to attend but booking is required as lunch will be provided.
