Come along and hear both our guests Peter James and Haydn Kelly talk about their work and how forensic gait analysis has become a useful tool, not only in the real world of law enforcement, but also as an expert in the Detective Roy Grace series.

Peter will be giving an insight into how he developed the character of ‘Haydn Kelly’, Forensic Podiatrist.

In real life Haydn is in fact based at Harley Street, London. He has featured in four best-selling crime novels by author Peter James including his latest novel You Are Dead. We are especially proud to have Haydn visit, as he qualified as a podiatrist from Plymouth University.

Dr Sally Abey, BSc (Hons) Podiatry Programme Lead says: “We are delighted to have secured this event with Peter James and Haydn Kelly. Haydn qualified as a podiatrist from Plymouth University in the 1980s and to have him return to the University as part of this event, to discuss and answer questions on how he developed Forensic Gait Analysis is fantastic. We are also thrilled to welcome acclaimed author, Peter James, who will be talking about his latest book and signing copies.”

This event will start with drinks and canapés at 6pm, and finish at approximately 8pm, following a question and answer session.

The event is free to all, but places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration is essential, to book a place please complete the registration link above. If you have any queries please email: events@plymouth.ac.uk.

This event is part of the Plymouth International Book Festival.
