Save event

The University of Plymouth will be sharing a brand new short film by Danny Cooke and Dr Hazel Gibson, with visitors to Kresen Kernow in Redruth.

Featuring the many voices of Cornish people connected to the new geothermal project at United Downs through work, life or sometimes just location, this short film will share what it means to these people to have geothermal power become a part of the Cornish geo-industrial narrative.

Also featuring a special exhibition presenting preliminary results from the groundbreaking multidisciplinary social science research at the University of Plymouth, we encourage anyone interested in the geothermal project at United Downs, the history of Cornish geological development or public opinions on new renewable energy developments to drop by this free event and meet our researchers.

This is an open event running throughout the day, with no need to reserve. Contact sei@plymouth.ac.uk for further information.
