This research seminar will be given by Allison McKendrick, PhD, Professor and Head, Optometry and Vision Science, Melbourne, Australia.
Migraine is a common condition that often involves visual symptoms. We will discuss some perceptual anomalies in migraine, along with data of a recent study in which we have measured visual performance, daily, to catch the lead up to a migraine event. We will also discuss data from human brain imaging and electrophysiology that point to an imbalance between cortical inhibition and excitation in migraine.
The PAHC building is on the Marjon campus (PL6 8BH, opposite the old Plymouth airport). There is free parking and campus barriers open automatically.
Seminar start time: 17:00
Everybody is welcome to attend. Drinks will be served at 18:00; please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
