The biggest sporting event of the year is back!
Varsity is the annual student sports event of the year between the University of Plymouth and Plymouth Marjon University, which also raises money for charity.
Varsity originally started as a challenge between the two institutions' men's rugby teams. Its primary aim was to raise money for charity but additionally, it helped to fuel a healthy sporting rivalry between the two institutions. The programme has since diversified to encompass as many sports as possible to see who is the true sporting champion in Plymouth.
We're pleased to welcome spectators back to cheer on their teams at this year's event. Last year Marjon took the victory for the most wins but who will be the champion this year? Watch the teams in action and see for yourself or visit UPSU Varsity Hub page below for the results.
Please note that tickets need to be purchased for the Football matches at Plymouth Argyle on Wednesday 20 April and these are available via the UPSU Varsity Hub page.
UPSU is raising money for Devon Mind while Plymouth Marjon University is supporting Plymouth Domestic Abuse Services (PDAS) who sit under the umbrella of Sanctuary Living. Varsity 2022 is sponsored by Homes for Students.
