Calling all students - your votes count!
UPSU is here to represent all students. It is run by students and seeks to make your student experience the best it can be.
This is achieved by involving students at all levels of decision making within the union. Your views are also taken to the University and the National Union of Students. As these are your views UPSU represents it’s only fair that you have a say on who does the job; we can’t have an interview panel with 30,000 students so we run all-student elections!
UPSU elections are happening now.
UPSU's six Executive Officers are elected by Plymouth University students to represent them, for one year, and they get paid to do it.
The Executive Officers focus on specific areas of the student experience for example, education, sport, student welfare etc, as well as working together on the big issues affecting the student body. They are also UPSU Trustees, so the whole organisation is led by our students.
The polls open at 12pm on Friday 26 February and close at 12pm on Friday 4 March. Results will be announced in the SU on Friday 4 March at 7pm.
Votes are invited for the following Executive Officer posts
Responsible for internal and external communications, leading the Executive Officer team on priority campaigns, representing Plymouth students in the local community, nationally and across the University and developing community relations.
