The University of Plymouth Choral Society will host a singing workshop in aid of Brain Tumour Research at St Paul's Church, Yelverton, Devon.

The event offers free admission to an informal performance at 5.30pm.

The group, led by musical director Simon Ible, will take in favourite choruses by Handel, Vivaldi, Mozart and Bach.

Those wishing to actively take part in the workshop can pay £14 (£12 for UPCS members) ahead of registration at 10am.

Lunch is available at the Rock Hotel, Yelverton at an additional cost of £9.50.

A retiring collection will be made in aid of the Plymouth University Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence.

About Brain Tumour Research

Brain Tumour Research funds research at four Centres of Excellence in the UK, including Plymouth University. Scientists at the Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry are focusing investigations specifically on low-grade brain tumours. Their ground-breaking research is aimed at improving quality of life and survival rates for brain tumour patients, with the ultimate aim of finding a cure.
