WORKSHOPS

Attendees will have the opportunity to select two workshops to attend from the following.
MORNING WORKSHOPS
Workshop 1: 21C graduate recruitment – what do employers really want and need?
This session will focus on trends and developments in graduate recruitment covering the most recent employer insights, data and examples of different recruitment trends and practices. We will also share a basic framework for graduate success and signpost to internal support, opportunities and resources to ensure employability is built into the academic curriculum.
Workshop 2: Sustainable Education in action
This workshop will provide participants with the opportunity to engage with how the University's Sustainability Hub has been used alongside community partnership working in order to provide students with real world and place-based Sustainable Education opportunities. As well as outlining case studies of innovative practice that highlight the strengths, challenges and limitations of this experiential pedagogical approach, it will also provide participants with some general guidance about sustainable leadership learning activities and how scenario-based learning can be incorporated into the curriculum and student experience here at Plymouth.
Workshop 3: What is the future of Higher Education?
This world café session will promote discussion and debate for educators to consider the fast-changing landscape of Higher Education and how it might evolve and change in the coming years. What role will AI have, how will our programmes of study evolve, what opportunities and threats are there for future learners?
