Join the University and Devon-based woodland creation charity Moor Trees for a day on Dartmoor to discuss the role woodlands could play in providing multiple ecosystem benefits for communities in and around Dartmoor.

The event involves a walk with University scientists and Moor Trees to observe and monitor an experimental site that is part of research gathering linked to the Dartmoor Headwaters Project.

This is an ideal opportunity to discuss recent evidence for climate change on Dartmoor and the potential impacts these changes are likely to have on local communities. There is a focus on the role of woodland on Dartmoor's landscape and the multiple ecosystem benefits which trees can provide, such as flood alleviation.

There is a free minibus departing from Egerton Crescent, Plymouth at 09:45 or alternatively, meet at Fore Street in Cornwood at 10:30. Please contact Tom Murphy ( for further information and to book a place.
