Born, raised and educated in Plymouth, Ed Bartlett is a British art curator and creative industries entrepreneur, based in London.

After studying at Plymouth College of Art and Design, Bartlett entered a nascent video game industry as a game tester, rising through roles in production, game design and business development.

In 2003 Bartlett founded his first company – and with it, a new industry – helping brands to advertise within games. After raising funding to grow the business into a global corporation, Bartlett decided to leave the industry to focus on his original passion for art, establishing The Future Tense to offer hands-on support for emerging contemporary artists, as well as an alternative avenue for more established names seeking to innovate outside of the traditional gallery model. The Future Tense now works with artists and collectors all over the world, developing an eclectic range of art-related events and special projects including working with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation, Dallas Contemporary museum and Goss-Michael Foundation.

Ed is a new breed of Curator, working across multiple channels, he is mixing content, creating new ways to experience art and design. This lively talk, and personal journey, is a must attend for all creatives.
