Save event
On Thursday 8 June, join a host of academics from across both the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FoSE), and the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business (FoAHB) in a celebration of the breadth of marine research and opportunities available at the University of Plymouth.
As the ‘Home of Marine Research’ in the UK, we want to inspire young minds to conserve, protect and research the marine environment, giving insight into the diverse range of careers that are available to students no matter their interests, from Marine Science to Law.
This is a full day of talks and workshops aimed at years 10,11,12 and 13 where students will be able to choose which workshops/talks they want to attend throughout the day. Subjects will include History, Law, Education, English, Marine Science, Mathematics and Geography.
We are also pleased to announce the keynote speaker will be Professor Richard Thompson OBE FRS, a world-leading marine scientist whose work continues to set the international agenda’s research into the causes and effects of marine litter.
