Thinking of getting chartered status can seem daunting, but becoming a Chartered IT Practitioner (CITP) can take you to a new level of recognition both with your peers and industry. 

CITP status demonstrates: 

  • you are an expert in your field or specialism 
  • you have an extensive knowledge across the breadth of IT 
  • you have integrity and strong business acumen 
  • you follow a code of conduct and uphold best practice y
  • you are committed to your profession 
  • trusted competence.

The presenter, Margaret Ajibode is a Chartered Engineer, CEng, CITP and a fellow of the BCS. She is a founder of Obatec, an IT consultancy business, a STEM ambassador and a judge and moderator at the annual National Big Bang Competition. She is also the chief judge at both the South East and London Big Bang regional competition.

BCS South West events are open to everyone, eligible for CPD and (unless otherwise indicated) free of charge. The pre-booking system is only used to allow rooms and catering to be arranged. Please note that most presentations will now be video-recorded and we aim to make videos available via our YouTube channel shortly after each event.
