This workshop is for University of Plymouth staff only.

Gain confidence and understanding of Content Capture (specifically Panopto) and its use in the University. PLEASE NOTE: this workshop replaces the previous Introduction to Content Capture and Editing with Panopto courses from last year.

Who should attend this course?

This workshop is aimed at any staff interested in learning more about the university’s content capture system. The workshop is aimed at giving you the information to better understand how Panopto can be use by academics and students alike.


Prior experience of using a PC or Mac is essential to benefit from this course. Previous experience of use the DLE is also advantageous.

What you will gain:

By the end of this workshop, you will have a better understanding of how content capture within the University works, looking both at the automated and manual systems as well as the impact on copyright etc.

The course will cover:

  • Quick introduction to Panopto
  • The automated system
  • The manual system
  • Adding content to the DLE
  • Editing on the Panopto Cloud
