This course is for University of Plymouth staff only.

Gain confidence and understanding of Content Capture (specifically Panopto) and its use in the University. PLEASE NOTE: this course replaces the previous Introduction to Content Capture and Editing with Panopto courses from last year.

Who should attend this course?

This course is aimed at any staff interested in learning more about the university’s content capture system. The course is aimed at giving you the information to better understand how Panopto can be use by Academics and Students alike.


Prior experience of using a PC or Mac is essential to benefit from this course. Previous experience of use the DLE is also advantageous.

What you will gain:

By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of how content capture within the University works, looking both at the automated and manual systems as well as the impact on copyright etc.
