The Global Innovation Index: Measurement and Implications
  • Room 404, Cookworthy Building, Plymouth University

Save event

Plymouth University’s Dr Panagiotis Tziogkidis will present his research, which investigates the plausibility of the practice of equal weighting in the Global Innovation Index from a policy perspective.

Panagiotis' research involved examining the discrepancies in innovation efficiency arising from an endogenous weighting approach and investigating the feasibility of policy recommendations arising from the official approach. The results highlighted significant differences for low-income countries, for which conclusions derived from the index may not be feasible.

This seminar provides an opportunity to find out more about Panagiotis’ research and his proposals for improving the Global Innovation Index.

The seminar is organised by the iSPER Markets, Innovation and Competition (MIC) research group and is aimed at Plymouth University academic staff and postgraduate research students.
