The Cube has organised a series of events to support students and graduates at every stage of their entrepreneurial journey – from an idea to a fully-fledged business. During the semester The Cube will be holding regular student and graduate drop-in sessions in the Careers and Employability Hub, Charles Seale-Hayne Library.

Monday 20 May | Corporate Sabotage Escape Room!

11:30–18:30, Student Hub Room 3, Charles Seale-Hayne Library | Bookable 1 hour sessions throughout the day
You and your team of up to six others are top executives of a promising start-up, and suddenly, you discover a web of deception and sabotage by a competitor company. How do you beat them to launch your product?
Open to all, book as an individual to join in and work with others OR enter as a team of up to six.
Please note: each person in your group needs to book onto the slot.
Corporate sabotage
Get ready to put your entrepreneurial instincts to the test in a high-stakes scenario, designed by Escapism Plymouth to ignite your creativity, critical thinking and teamwork abilities. 

Business Explore Club

Four days of activity designed for students and graduates who want to gain the skills and knowledge to explore a business idea to see if it is viable. 
Open to those with a business idea and those who just want to get the know-how on how to start a business to further develop their creative skills to maximise future career potential. At the end of the programme eligible participants will have the opportunity to pitch their business for a cash prize of £1,000* (from Santander Universities UK) towards start-up costs.
Please note: you must be able to attend all sessions to participate.

Tuesday 21 May and Wednesday 22 May, 09:30–16.30
Ideas • Business modelling • Market research • Finding your customers • Finalising your business model • Learn how to pitch effectively
Thursday 23 May
Work on your pitches independently with an opportunity to meet with Claire Wallace, Student Enterprise Manager, to discuss your pitch.
