The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair is the largest celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) for young people in the UK.
Coinciding with British Science Week 2016, The Big Bang Fair is an award-winning combination of exciting theatre shows, interactive workshops and exhibits, as well careers information from STEM professionals aimed at students aged 7-19.
Plymouth University will be present with activities that are suitable for all ages.
Tuesday to Saturday
Computing: "How good is your tennis swing? - interactive computing with Plymouth University"
- Participants can hit a tennis ball whilst their arm motion data is stored in analysis software. The speed, direction and timing can be visualised and compared to data from other participants and professional tennis players. Suitable for all ages, very interactive and accessible. This is a project being developed by a current Plymouth University student.
Mathematics: "Secrets messages from POWs - mathematics and codes"
