Join us for an artist’s talk, DJs, dancing and the launch of open source #FREEBEER, from SUPERFLEX and Plymouth’s new community-owned brewery, Billy Ruffian’s.

DJ Simon Scullion and live printing from Kiss and Bite Letterpress.

This event is delivered in partnership with Danish artist collective SUPERFLEX as part of the Atlantic Festival, in collaboration with Empowering Places Plymouth, Real Ideas Organisation (RIO), Summerskills and local folk.

Playing on the idea of free software and free speech, the recipe and branding elements of FREE BEER version 6.0 (the Atlantic brew) are open source and published under a Creative Commons license and therefore 'free'.

Freedom here is about a lack of ownership and open distribution. SUPERFLEX say: “FREE BEER is a beer which is free as in free speech, not in the sense of free beer.”

However, because it's a party and it's Social Saturday, we'll give you your first bottle free on us! So that's free FREE BEER!!!

DJs, Column Bakehouse pizza, paying bar and FREE BEER.

Register for the event.
