Adding volunteering experience to your CV is invaluable and incredibly appealing to employers.
The Careers Service and UPSU would like to invite all University of Plymouth students and recent graduates to a week-long programme of events to explore the exciting volunteering opportunities available on campus and beyond. We will have 20 different organisations dropping in to advertise their volunteering opportunities and workshops in the Careers Hub.
The benefits of volunteering
  • Volunteering enables you to develop and gain some of the practical skills that many employers will deem essential such as communication, organisation and teamwork.
  • It can mean you get to do some of the things you love while meeting new people – increasing your social impact and connections building up your networks to increase future possibilities.
  • Help to gain an insight into future careers and find out what you do and don’t want to do!
  • Extremely rewarding knowing that you are helping those in need.
  • Volunteer to gain work experience in your chosen sector.
We have some really exciting names lined up during Student Volunteering Week so don’t miss out. Events will be held in the Student Hub, Charles Seale-Hayne Library. Find out more by clicking the link for each below. No need to sign up – just turn up on the day.
