Calling all Plymouth University students! Have you ever wanted to come into the Peninsula Arts Gallery but were never quite sure? Why not come along to our Student Gallery Night, for students and organised by Art History students?

An exclusive night for all University students, this will be your last chance to see the work of Douglas Gordon, an internationally acclaimed artist who won the Turner Prize in 1996. This is the first time his work has some to the South West.

Enjoy drinks and nibbles and a talk and performance from our expert students on the exhibition, which includes the famous ‘Self Portrait of You + Me' works and the spectacles of Sir Joshua Reynolds, a Plymothian and founder of the Royal Academy.

This is also your opportunity to find out more about our Student Participation in Arts scheme (SPiA).

'Searching' season

This year Peninsula Arts have brought together a talented team of curators, artists and academic advisors to present a line-up of exhibitions, films, talks, performances and music events that all respond to the theme of ‘Searching’.

The continual search for knowledge and understanding of the world around us is what underpins and fuels university life and so ‘Searching’ seemed a prescient way to launch into the new academic year. Whether the search is for home, for identity or new experiences, this season’s programme is sure to delight and stretch your imagination in many ways.
