Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell star in Frank Oz’s subversive retelling of Ira Levin’s novel.

Repositioned as a black comedy rather than the more familiar horror of previous versions, it highlights the humour of conformity and brainwashing in suburbia.

Leaving the hustle and bustle of their lives behind for a more idyllic existence in suburbia may not have the desired results for Joanna (Kidman) and her family, as not all is what it seems in the all too perfect town of Stepford.

The evening includes an introduction to the film and post film discussion and features a short trailer from the SWFTA archives.
