A Historical Association and University of Plymouth History Department talk

Join Louisa Blight as she shines a spotlight on the ‘Armada Maps’ – highly significant maps saved for the nation in 2020 by the National Museum of the Royal Navy. In her talk, Louisa will also unpack some of the other highlights of the collection, especially those of relevance to Plymouth and its environs.
The National Museum – the newest in the UK – was established in 2014. Comprising material from the Royal Naval Museum, the Royal Marines Museum, the Fleet Air Arm Collection and the Submarine Fleet, the collection is fascinating and varied and the untapped potential for future research is tantalising.
A Registered Member of the Archives and Records Association for over a decade, Louisa who previously worked for The Box, Plymouth has recently overseen the launch of the Collections Portal at the National Museum.
