Silicon Voices for contralto, bass voices and live electronics draws from the composer’s research into music and Artificial Intelligence. It showcases software that simulates a group of agents communicating with each other by means of musical phrases. As these virtual musicians communicate with each other they progressively evolve a repertoire of generative musical rules collectively.

Voices Season - Uncovering Voices

Peninsula Arts looks to support new and undiscovered cultural voices, as well as bringing those internationally renowned voices to the region and this is explored in this season’s programme.

Ever since the dawn of humanity, voice has always been our primary source for communication. This season’s music programme traverses the pure polyphony of Palestrina to 21st-century beat-box and electronic vocalise.
