IT security is an issue of growing importance to organisations at all levels, with the increasing adoption of new devices and online services introducing a range of potential risks that businesses need to consider, from the technology itself through to human and legal aspects.

This event is specifically offered for the benefit of organisations in the South West, giving an opportunity for awareness-raising and access to expertise without the need to travel out of the region. The programme includes presentations and discussion addressing a range of security topics relevant to the current market. These will be delivered by representatives from leading companies in the IT security industry, alongside recognised academic experts from the University of Plymouth.

The event is free of charge to delegates and includes refreshments and lunch as part of the programme, ensuring opportunities for networking and discussion among delegates and the speakers. Visit the Secure South West website for full details.

The event is jointly organised by the University of Plymouth and Plymouth City Council, and is supported by BCS - The Chartered Institute for IT (South West Branch), the Chartered Institute of Information Security, Securious Limited and South West WARP.
