The Seafood Festival is a popular event held during Ocean City Festival that highlights exactly why Plymouth is known as Britain’s Ocean City.
The annual two-day festival celebrates the fantastic range of seafood being caught and landed locally. It features live outdoor cooking demonstrations by a number of celebrity and local chefs while an array of stalls line the cobbled quayside of the Barbican to showcase freshly caught seafood available to buy so you can try out the recipes at home.
With most seafood landed right across the harbour at Plymouth Fisheries, England’s second largest fresh fish market, the produce couldn’t get any fresher - or any more local.
Plymouth is the first city in the world to be awarded the Fish2Fork Blue City status for its commitment to sourcing sustainable fish.
This year's festival, organised by Plymouth City Council for the Plymouth Waterfront Partnership BID, is sponsored by Plymouth Gin and Brittany Ferries.
