The workshop can be used as an introduction as well as a refresher course in this area, covering:
- A brief background on governance, integrity and ethical issues in research.
- Different types of ethical review and where to find guidance for each.
- An overview of the processes involved in making an application to a university ethics committee and some faculty specific guidelines.
- Planning, what to consider in making a good ethics application and overcoming pitfalls.
