In this Sustainable Earth Institute public talk, Tom Burke will outline the threat to prosperity, security and stability posed by our failure to accompany globalisation of opportunity with globalisation of responsibility. He will discuss the importance of maintaining the social and environmental conditions for prosperity while meeting the rising expectations of our burgeoning population.

Tom will stress the importance of maintaining a global rules based system and sharing sovereignty if we are to meet the challenges of the 21st century and identify climate change as the biggest threat to the future of anyone under 40, but also the opportunity to build the kind of world that offers our children life chances comparable to those we have enjoyed.
