This workshop is aimed at Programme Leaders and Associate Heads of School Teaching and Learning, particularly those new to the role. In addition to finding out about processes, policies and practice, you will meet key people who will support you throughout your time as a programme leader.

This workshop will introduce the roles, responsibilities, processes and activities key to good programme leadership. It will be delivered collaboratively by TLS, Registry, Quality Office, Student services, ADTLs, AHTLs and experienced programme leaders. The emphasis is practical, what needs to be done, when, the resources, data, case examples and who to ask.

The programme comprises three linked sessions which will include: where to find data and information, an introduction to leadership in HE, introduction to the quality processes, CIS data retrieval, programme design and marketing, supporting students with difficulties, and handling complaints and appeals. 

Each session will be free-standing for maximum flexibility. The sessions will be run in each semester; if you miss a session you can join later groups i.e. 1: 22 Nov or 21 March, 2: 6 Dec or 25 April, 3: 17 Jan or 23 May.  The three sessions format was chosen to meet requests for short workshops rather than a half-day event.
