On Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 July at various locations on the University campus from 9:00–16:00, students from the Criminology and Policing streams of their degrees are acting as role-players for student police officers from Devon and Cornwall Police to test their knowledge in a series of realistic scenarios.
There is a public order and domestic abuse scenario and the police organisers would like to apologise in advance as there may well be bad language used. The student police officers are being assessed so our students are providing a vital public service.
The police organisers encourage everyone to stop and observe the action as this can add to the sense of realism.
