In the South West, Marine Protected Areas, renewable energy installations and aquaculture present diverse challenges for coastal ecosystems.
By employing a range of techniques including custom towed and baited HD video systems and benthic grabs we can investigate the effects of these developments on the ecosystem.
Come along and find out how the research by Plymouth University's Marine Institute is contributing to our understanding of how sustainable development and conservation in Dorset, Devon and Cornwall are affecting local coastal ecosystems.
The free talk, open to all, will be given by Sophie Cousens, a Project Support Officer at the Marine Institute and MRes Marine Biology graduate from Plymouth University.
Please register attendance via the above link. Refreshments will be served from 7pm, with the talk beginning at 7.30pm.
This event is organised by the Institute of Physics South West branch and IOP Environmental Physics Group. Email firstname.lastname@example.org, Regional Officer, IOP South West for any queries.
