At the end of 2014 there was considerable interest expressed by our partners for events sharing Plymouth Institute of Education research work and hosting visiting speakers.

As a result of this we have developed a Supper Seminar Programme with short talks by some of our research active staff on their current projects. In the new year we will be adding visiting speakers to give a national/international perspective on current educational themes.

All seminars in the series take place on Wednesdays and everyone is welcome. Contact Julie Morris to book a place.

  • 6 July: Research indicates that regular philosophical enquiry in the classroom improves educational attainment – is this a good reason for including it in the curriculum of schools? (Dr Joanna Haynes)
