Plymouth Enterprise Week SOUP

Save event

As part of Plymouth Enterprise Week, GAIN with Plymouth University will be holding SOUP on campus with an eclectic audience of students, staff and the South West business community.

SOUP sees four investment-hungry entrepreneurs pitch their business idea to a live audience over just four minutes each. There is no judging panel to decide the winner, the dragons are you, the audience!

The concept is simple – buy your ticket in advance, come along and enjoy a soup lunch during the pitches. Pitchers must rely on their passion and speaking abilities alone to win over the audience – no gadgets, giveaways or PowerPoint presentations.

After the pitches you'll have time to network with your fellow dragons and mull over the ideas before choosing your favourite. Votes will be collected and the worthy winner announced at the end of the lunch.

For extra feelgood factor the winning business gets to take home all the money taken from the ticket sales and use it to fund their plans, so you know your ticket money has gone directly to the winning entrepreneur. The winners also receive a package of business support from Plymouth University and its partners to support them in their plans.

This networking event is a great chance to come along and reconnect with some of the people you may have met earlier in the week, support local entrepreneurs and enjoy a great value lunch.

The £5 cost covers entrance to the event, your soup lunch and vote.
