This major international event explores one of the most notable social documentary projects developed in Britain in recent years. 

Based in West Bromwich and organised by the agency Multistory, Black Country Stories revolves around a number of prestigious commissions involving photographers, filmmakers and writers. 

This event will investigate its processes, its work and affects as an organisational model of socially engaged documentary practice.

Speakers including: Martin Parr (UK, artist), Margaret Drabble (UK, writer),David Goldblatt (South Africa, artist), Mark Power (UK, artist), Hans Eijkelboom (Holland, artist) Susie Parr (UK, writer) and Emma Chetcuti (UK, Director, Multistory).

Organised by the Plymouth University Photography Research Group in collaboration with Multistory.
